Lisa M. Burns has a B.A. in Fine and Applied Arts and Theatre. Her focus was in oil and acrylic painting, photography, illustration, and theatre set painting. After graduating, she studied Tromp l’oeil and faux finishing at professional painting studios in both the United States and Europe.

When it comes to commission work, Lisa M. Burns is passionate about making someone else’s dream become a visual reality.  She offers creativity, attention to detail, and a broad artistic skill set to meet the challenge.

Lisa later became a painting contractor and opened a painting company in Portland, Oregon called Purple Tree Painting and Design, LLC. She specialized in designing and painting commission murals. Then Lisa had the opportunity to move to Leuven, Belgium, where she continued to paint and show her work, while going back to school for her M.A. with a focus in Cultural Economics and Corporate Sponsorship of the Visual Arts. Seven years later after moving back to the United States, Lisa founded the pending nonprofit Heart to Heart with Art. Lisa is still creating artwork and showing while sharing her time between Portland, Oregon and the Bay Area.

Balance is added to my life when I work through personal emotions and inspiration with visual expression. I use a variety of mediums and subjects, while playing between, illusion, realism, and natural abstractions. I thrive off of creative challenges that inspire me. View Portfolio
